Check out this newsletter for the latest recycling and waste reduction news and progress across the University of Iowa campus. Recycling coordinator Eric Holthaus uses the five IOWA Challenge expectations of Excel, Choose, Stretch, Engage, and Serve to highlight highlight some exceptional, unique efforts underway across campus.
Read about recycling during the OnIowa events for first-year students, as well as a new food pulper that composts food waste at Hillcrest Market Place. Factulty, staff and students have formed a Green Team in the Division of World Languages, Literature, and Cultures, while the College of Dentistry has reduced waste and increased recycling every yearsince 2006. The newsletter also has updates on game day recycling at Kinnick Stadium and how the Delta Tau Delta fraternity has helped play an integral part in this effort.
