Beenk featured in Iowa Alumni Magazine
Elliott's video for America's Next Eco-Star

In the June issue of the Iowa Alumni Magazine, Office of Sustainability intern Ellott Beenk is featured as an "Eco Rock Star." Beenk has combined his interests in music and the environment to promote eco-friendly practices among musicians and concert-goers. Beenk was among the top five finalists this past spring in America's Next Eco-Star. This summer, Beenk will be once again be greening the Camp Eurphoria music festival near Lone Tree, and also ride across Iowa on RAGBRAI, where he and and his band will hook up generators to their bicycle hubs during the day to power their concerts at night.
