Pitching in pays off at UI Convocation and President’s Block Party
Ramped up recycling and composting efforts at Convocation and President’s Block Party on Sunday Aug. 22 at the University of Iowa led to 78 percent of the waste generated at the events being kept out of the landfill. A total of 1,600 pounds of recyclable and compostable material was diverted from the landfill, bolstering President Sally Mason’s clear and unwavering commitment to sustainability. Continue reading
