April 03, 2016

This April, the Office of Sustainability invites you to celebrate the culture of sustainability during Earth Month 2016.

The office is teaming up with other departments and student organizations at the University of Iowa to bring a series of events, competitions and activities to campus in order to promote concepts of sustainability and encourage participation in sustainability initiatives.

Earth Month events began on Friday, April 1 with a Bike Tune-up and conclude with the Climate Narrative Project presentations on April 28, with film screenings, environmental fairs and treasure trades planned as well as many more!

Cyclists can take Earth Month Bike Challenge, April 2-30, designed to encourage bike use on campus. Bike riders log miles and trips for a chance to win trophies and prizes from local bike shops and merchants.
