Renewable Energy/Biomass
For an update on how the University plans to use biomass in its utility systems, see this PowerPoint presenation "Renewable Energy Technologies, Including Biomass Combustion" or on a WMV file with voice. Ferman Milster, principal engineer-renewables, discusses the concept of renewable energy and technologies for the University of Iowa to using biomass to help meet goal of 40 percent renewable energy consumption on the campus by 2020.
