Sign-up for Iowa City Clean and Green Competition
April 09, 2012
Looking for a way to get involved during Earth Month at the University of Iowa? Sign-up for the Iowa City Clean and Green Competition 2012!
First, form a team: it could be with your student organization, your roommates, or a group of people from class. Second, choose an area anywhere on campus or in Iowa City as your designated clean-up spot. It could be your backyard, a parking lot, a park, or neighborhood! Third, get out and clean!
Register your team by April 13. When registering your team, register as "UI __________" in order to keep track of the University of Iowa winner! You and your team have one week, between April 14 and April 21, to complete the clean-up. On April 21, bring the recyclables and garbage to the East Side Recycling Center between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. The group with the most bags wins!
Registration can be completed at http://www.icgov.org/CleanAndGreen. For more information contact Carol Sweeting, carol-sweeting@iowa-city.org.
