Student Action

One of the ways The University of Iowa fosters leadership is by encouraging involvement in student organizations. Several sustainability-related groups thrive on campus and engage participants in action, outreach and education. The success of these groups hinges on the creativity and dedication of students and collaboration with the campus community. These organizations leave a lasting legacy at UI and provide a tangible real-life experience for UI students. To learn more about student organizations on camus visit: http://uiowa.orgsync.com/

UISG passed a Sustainable Events Act for UISG-funded events. This resolution was passed during the 2009-2010 Student Senate Sessions. Its purpose is to encourage events that are partially funded by the Student Government to recycle waste with help from other UI student organizations.
