Year-end Donation Drive
May 15 and 16 - Quad, Mayflower, Burge
UI Housing, Office of Sustainability, Goodwill of the Heartland, Crisis Center, City of Iowa City, Habitat Restore
Move-out just got a little less messy. Students living in the University of Iowa Residence Halls can help reduce the amount of waste going to the landfill at move-out this year by participating in the UIOWA Year-end Donation Drive. Just look for the Goodwill truck on these days:
West Side, Wednesday, May 15 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Grand Ave., Quad Courtyard
East Side, Thursday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Clinton Street near Burge Hall
Mayflower, Thursday, May 10 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. rear parking lot
WE’LL ACCEPT
- Textbooks
- Clothing - all styles and conditions (clothing not suitable for resale will be recycled)
- Housewares with life left in them (no broken items, please) - lamps, dishes, microwaves, fans, televisions
- Linens, towels, comforters
- Furniture - must be in good condition and without heavy stains
- Media - books, CDs, DVDs
- Accessories - shoes, purses, belts, scarves, jewelry
- Computers and related peripherals
- Bicycles
SORRY, WE CANNOT ACCEPT
- Any item needing repair, except computers
- Broken or heavily stained furniture
- Newspapers and magazines - recycle these items in the Residence Halls!
