Save Our Streams (SOS) is a fun way to test water quality in small streams by collecting chemical data and identifying underwater insects, called macroinvertebrates. The Izaak Walton League is partnering with the UNI Green Iowa Americorps program to provide a workshop for those who want to become a certified SOS Monitor. We will have an old fashioned cider press here to demonstrate and press apples.   If you would like to make your own cider to take home, please bring your own apples to press and containers for the cider.  Meet at the Lake Iowa Nature center Parking lot.
