Commuting by Bike

Deciding to commute by bike can be a big decision. It can also be one of the best decisions one can make! It’s environmentally-friendly, healthy, and it can be a good stress reliever. The first year, the average commuter loses 13 pounds.

One of the most important things to do when commuting is to wear a helmet. A helmet is worth it and can be very beneficial. It is important to avoid distractions, obey the rules of the road, and be predictable when riding.

BikeIowa has a bike commuter guide that can be useful for commuters that are just starting out or seasoned commuters.

Another important thing is to make sure that you feel comfortable when commuting and to not put yourself in any potential dangerous situations.
