Facilities Management and Renewable Energy

The University of Iowa Facilities Management has a number of sustainable practices and programs to make making the UI campus greener. FM also has an active energy conservation and management program, using a comprehensive set of tools such as the Energy Control Center to increase efficiency and productivity.

• Facilties management is committed to increasing the use of renewable energy including biomass fuels to help the University of Iowa campus become coal-free by 2025.
