Think of sustainability and what comes to mind for most is reducing, reusing, and recycling. 

But sustainability has a broader definition now, one that reflects an understanding that it’s more than just an environmental problem. The new definition includes such broader concepts as reducing poverty, improving health and well-being, providing decent work and economic growth, and encouraging responsible consumption and production of goods.

The Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa has committed itself to addressing the challenges inherent in this broader definition by embracing a recent UN initiative that makes teaching social responsibility a cornerstone of business education.
