My background:
I’m a senior studying Environmental Policy and Planning with a Sustainability Certificate. I originally graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a graphic design degree in 2015. After a few years dedicated to that career, I discovered my interest in the human waste stream, hyper-consumption, and how these affect ecosystems and human health. This new calling brought me to the University of Iowa. I do my best to live zero waste, love reading about garbage, and go on regular litter pick-ups.

Why I’m passionate about sustainability:
The waste crisis affects everyone and everything! I believe that being proactive within sustainability will create a global culture of valuing people and Earth's limited resources more than profit, and that is the kind of community I want to live in.
